Oct 2, Balinese Ceremony for World Peace........Trust God

The temple was located on the north side of Mt Batur about halfway down the mountains.

The temple is on a ridge that runs from the top of the mountain down to the sea......elevation about 3,500 ft.  

To reach the temple we had to climb approximately 160 steps. As we climbed the steps the energy of the temple was so soft yet powerful that it appeared to fill our bodies with helium and we simply floated up the steps arriving in the temple courtyard with minimum huffing and puffing.

Arriving in the outer court yard it was clear that once again Kabayan picked the perfect temple for a Ceremony for World Peace for it was decorated as if they knew we were comming.

The open door to the inner temple invites us to come in. 

It's time to go down on our knees again.  The Balinese do it with such grace and ease.  For David and I it requires more thought and patience with our bodies. 

The temple floor had many berries that had fallen from the tree.  No one seemed to mind even though we all had our nice temple costumes on.  It made me reflect for awhile as I watched their dedication to their spiritual practice.  They were not distracted or detoured from connecting with The One Supreme God.

Kavayan lead the ceremony as we each did a personal and collective prayer for Peace.

The Balinese believe that when there is chaos in the world it is because the world is out of balance
every one is fighting to win be in control.

Their role is to surrender it all to God as they each focus one brings more love into the world which will rebalance the energy and bring miracles of peace and calm.

It happened in Bali after the Bali bombing and they feel it can happen in the world if enough people choose only love as their action.

After the ceremony Holy Water was collected to take back to their family temple where the prayers for peace will continue each day, till the balance is achieved and peace and calm arrives again on the earth.  

The holy water blessings always makes us feel cleansed and purified.  This still amazes me.

At the completion of the ceremony, like life the journey was only half over,  We had to get back to the bottom and then a 2 hr ride back to Sayan.

Pam and I felt honored that so many had gathered to be a part of this Ceremony.  Some drove over four hours to get to the temple.  What a gift to be a part of something so special.

When we arrived in Bali two weeks ago we gave Jero Kabayan several copies of David's photo of "Trust God."  In sharing the story of the photo he gave his typical two thumbs up gesture that said, "Right On." Kabayan then added, "its all about Trusting God." 

The real magic of the moment was that Kabayan does not understand or read English.  Jodog my Balinese brother who had translated the story to him had not shared with him the title of the photo of "Trust God."

Two days later when we went to see him he said that his days have been filled with visits from many of his friends from his inner circle of healers and wisdom keepers.  Each knew Kabayan had received the picture and wanted a copy. 

Once again the magic of Bali came forth in that Kabayan had not shared with anyone that he had the photos.  This is how when we are at peace and oneness with life we are at oneness with each other.

When he told them the story of the picture they each agreed that the world is out of balance and is in chaos because there is too much negative energy.  The picture has arrived to tell then that it is time to come together in peace, without judgement. When there is enough love and peace without judgement the balance will be achieved.

This is how Bali rebalanced the energy of the people and then the island after the bombings. For one morning the awoke and Bali was calm and at peace.

The ceremony will take place on the afternoon of Oct 2, 2012  in a very special sacred temple in the forest on the North slope of Mt Batur.

We invite all our friends and their friends to join us in this ceremony of sharing love -- without any judgements as we seek to rebalance the energy. Trusting God that when it is balanced again, peace and calm will return for that is the Law of Nature and Nature's God.

To join is simple.  Simply hold your focus on the image of the photo as you create an image of us sitting in the temple in the forest in Ceremony and Prayer as you send your love to all the world.

  

If you can hold  this focus of love to all, every day, all day, one day just as it happened in Bali we all will awaken to discover that balance has been created and peace and calm on earth has arrived. Proving that you can Trust God.

Oct 1, 2012  Coconut for breakfast.

This morning Pam wanted a fresh coconut for breakfast.

A few minuets latter it was hand delivered to our kitchen for her.

Ah,,,,,the magic of Bali.  You can't get it much fresher.

Oct 1, 2012   Market


This morning after our Coconut breakfast we went to a Balinese Market in Gianyar which is about 30 minuets east of Ubud.

This is the outer edge of the market and was filled with everything imaginable.

Gianyar is a much larger town than Ubud.

 This is where to local people shop and get good bargains.

We were drawn into the inner part of the market in search for new sarongs for our special ceremony.  At first we felt overwhelmed by everything and the space was narrow and very compacted.  We came outside a few times and then finally adjusted to the tight quarters.  We playfully bartered for our wares and everyone giggled.

Back outside again and feeling the breeze.

Ofcourse, there were flowers everywhere.  You could choose individual flowers to make your own offering or buy them already made.

We had a fun time at the market then went back to Ubud for lunch.  One of our favorite restraunts is Cafe Wayan and we had not been there yet so we stopped in and found the food still as great as ever and the garden still held the beauty and magic of Bali.

Tomorrow we will be doing prayers and ceremony for World Peace and hope you will include this in your prayers too or create your own ceremony.

September 26, 2012  Temple Journey in the Mountains

The hardest part of doing this blog is to pick the pictures from the hundreds of shots.  We'll post just a few as we are again traveling this afternoon. We had a playful time traveling up the mountain to the first temple - Pura Ulna Danu Bratan.  Goddess Danu is the goddess of Rice, Water, and Beauty. The Balinese worship the One Supreme God who is the Creator.  The temples each have a different focus of the energy and purpose much as in the Catholic Churches.

The focus on their life if to be in service, from their hearts to God first and then to Family, village and others second.  

Our playfulness started with Koybayan motioning me to follow him.  This temple within the temple sits out in the water but the lake was lower this time.  As I followed him we each got our feet stuck in the muck.  Here I sit rinsing off my feet in the water and giggling about it.  Later I realized that this was just preparation and it allowed me to connect more deeply with the Earth Mother.

 This temple is a very busy temple with tourist from around the world.  We went into the inner temple that you can only enter for prayers. Entering the inner temple we felt a sense of inner calm.


Our second stop for the day was the Village of Giriloka on Lake Tamblingan - the people hold the sacred energy of the protectors and caretakers of the lake and the temples around the lake.

The water level had risen in the lake and those closest to the lake had to relocate their homes.  You could see many tents being used for temporary shelter.  The people here live very much in the way of the early Balinese.  They prefer to speak their Balinese language instead of Indonesian.

This is the village temple that is also under water.

Crossing the lake to Pura Ulan Danu Tamblingan  was  a  playful pilgrimage to the stone age site.

Stairways to the ancient site.  A few years ago David and I could barely reach the top without stopping many times.  This time we each walked up the steps with ease. It was as if the energy of the site was nw welcoming us.

  This site has been kept natural with just a few structures.

After our prayers we paddled back to the village then headed to Munduk were we found a home stay and enjoyed the sunset with our supper.

All of now for we are off on another adventure to the temple of Ulu Danu that is in the crater at the top of Mt Batur.

Sept 24, 2012   Blanco Museum, Ubud

Blanco was a Spanish painter and close friend to Dali and his influence is seen in some of his paintings. He came to Bali in 1952 and married a famous Balinese Dancer who often modeled in his paintings.  

They say that if you can look the Dragon in the eye with only love it will become a divine goddess.

It looked like Pam was going to the birds.

We strolled the garden and enjoyed its beauty and it also stimulated ideas for our gardens back home.  I love the way the plants are layered so it brings more depth to the gardens.  Many orchids were blooming, bird nest ferns hung in the trees, and a canopy of vines were overhead and offered a quiet place to sit.

Tomorrow we are taking an overnight road trip into the mountains to visit some very special temples.  We will be unable to post till we get back. 

Sept 24, 2012 -- Our Morning Meditation.

At first light we head to the river for our morning meditation. In Bali it is all about creating with happy colors and decorations that fill the family compounds and line the streets.

The steep road leads to the Agung River

Arriving at the river there is a peace and oneness with God, Nature and all of Life. 

After our meditation we stop at the Holy Water Spring

With the new Power flowing within us the climb back up was easy.
